Renting by AIRBNB – interesting experiences….

When I come to Qala I was thinking about my to do in the future. OK it was nice to complete and decorate the new house. The house keeping needs a lot of time but what about socializing? A small talk at the supermarket, in the bus or at the restaurant that’s not enough. For my entertainment and to earn some money of course, I decided to go on AIRBNB to rent my two free rooms, which were prepaired for my family. Sister, brother in law, nice Becci and her boyfriend will stay here often and also my lovely girls from Germany will visite me, but the mostly time the rooms would be empty.

I started in end of March with my announcement and what surprise, my first guest came in on April 1. Two young girls from Freiburg dropped in and they enjoyed the spring on Gozo and tested the pool as well. My lovely “Little Rose” get a verry good review and so I get more bookings in the next weeks.

Lighthouse

my 2. guestroom in Qala

The “Little Lighthouse” was booked for 6 weeks from an austrialian, what a fun. I was verry sad that he left me after 2 weeks, because his father died.

But after that, the bookings coming in 3 or 4 times the week. I host guests from Germany, Netherlands, Scotland, England, Italy, Romania and Hungary. We have had fun at the pool, talks in the evening and we had a BBQ and a little party at the pool. I enjoy to connect my guests and they are happy about the family style of my hosting.

I’m on a good way. In the next weeks my booking calander is full still September. By meeting people from all over the world its opens my mind and makes me happy.
